Strategic Plan | Phases
All strategic plans must answer basic questions such as “Where is the organization today?;” “Where should the organization be in the future?;” and “How should the organization get there?” Generally speaking, strategic planning is the process of carefully and comprehensively answering these complex questions through a framework that defines an organization’s vision and outlines its priorities, goals and tactics through the next five years.
Specifically for USC Chan, Phase 1 of the strategic planning process began in January with the selection of a Steering Committee. Phase 2 began in the Spring 2018 semester and its activities continued through June. Phase 3 began in July with the intention to finalize, adopt and disseminate the new, five-year strategic plan during the Fall 2018 semester.
