Adjunct Assistant Professor of Clinical Occupational Therapy

Posted

The Mrs. T.H. Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy at the University of Southern California invites applicants for an adjunct clinical faculty position.  The successful candidate will work with the Division’s current faculty members to provide onsite and remote Level II fieldwork education and supervision in practice-based settings from May 8, 2017 through August 4, 2017.

Primary responsibilities are to serve as an Fieldwork Educator (FWE) providing Level II fieldwork education and supervision for 2-3 occupational therapy master’s students in a community-based setting in which occupational therapy services are not currently offered (i.e., community-based settings, role emerging practice areas, etc.).  The FWE will collaborate with an on-site supervisor from another profession using a documented plan for provision of occupational therapy services and supervision of students.  Per the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) standards, the AFWE would provide a minimum of 8 hours per week of direct supervision and be available to students during all working hours.  The position will include up to an additional 2 hours per week of consultation with other faculty, staff and the fieldwork students as needed.

The desired candidate will possess licensure as an occupational therapist in the State of California.  Qualifications also include at least three years of full-time professional experience in adult physical rehabilitation.  Experience in fieldwork education and supervision is preferred.

USC values diversity and is committed to equal opportunity in employment. Women and men, and members of all racial and ethnic groups are encouraged to apply.
