Assistant Professor of Clinical Occupational Therapy

As a non-traditional occupational therapist, Alisa Chatprapachai has worked with people from ages 0-97 in various settings including community-based mental health, pediatric clinics, school-based, and home health. Dr. Chatprapachai joined USC in 2017 and is an assistant professor of clinical occupational therapy, providing remote supervision for students in role-emerging sites. In her current role as Interim Academic Coordinator of Fieldwork Education - Mental Health, Dr. Chatprapachai thinks of herself as a matchmaker for students and fieldwork sites. She has a passion for integrating mindfulness into both personal and professional work and is a certified meditation instructor.
Dr. Chatprapachai also believes in giving back to the community through her leadership roles as a Commissioner of the Orange County Mental Health Board and Vice President of the California Association of Local Behavioral Health Boards and Commissions.
