Biography

Michael Ang created the Outpatient Occupational Therapy Program at St. Vincent Medical Center in Los Angeles. There he implemented evidence-based interventions for clients with neurological and upper extremity conditions. He is a Certified Stroke Rehab Specialist, a Neuro-IFRAH certified therapist, and is approved for advanced practice in physical agent modalities, hand therapy and swallowing assessment, evaluation or intervention. He has clinical experience in acute care, intensive care, transitional care, inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing, assisted living and home health occupational therapy.
 
Dr. Ang teaches in the Adult Rehab Practice Immersion in the Division's entry-level professional program. He also teaches Therapeutic Use of Self; Communication for Effective Practice; Creativity, Craft, and Activity Analysis; and Occupation-Based Adult Neurorehabilitation.
