3 NPNL’s lab members awarded Division Student Leadership Award for the OTAC Annual Conference!

Oct 10, 2017

The Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy announced that 10 students, including our very own David Saldana, Allie Schmiesing, and Jennifer Chan, for a Critically Appraised Paper (CAP) accepted for online publication in AOTA’s Evidence Exchange.

According to the American Occupational Therapy (AOTA) Evidence Exchange, this program represents a, “grass roots member effort to engage practitioners, educators, students and researchers in both the CAP submission and review process.  The CAPS are submitted on-line and undergo a peer review process by individuals who have successfully completed a self-study and training program.”

AOTA has long recognized that students and their faculty mentors produce high-quality summaries of individual research articles as part of their academic training.  These CAPs are a valuable contribution to the profession’s overall efforts to provide members with a wide variety of evidence-based practice resources to create a bridge linking education, practice, and research.

Congratulations to David, Allie, and Jennifer for a job well done!
