Accelerated Master’s to Professional Doctorate of Occupational Therapy (OTD)

Please note: Currently, USC Chan is accepting applications to the entry-master’s program in occupational therapy, which is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education® (ACOTE®). The Chan Division has also initiated the ACOTE process to transition the entry-master’s to an accredited entry-level doctoral (OTD) program. This transition could occur as early as the 2021 application cycle (program start in 2022). Updates will be provided on our website throughout the accreditation process as they become available.

Through our Accelerated Master’s to Professional OTD degree program, you can earn an OTD degree in occupational therapy with just one additional year instead of the traditional two years. You will apply to our Entry-Level Professional Master’s Degree program if your bachelor’s degree is in a field other than occupational therapy, or our Post-Professional Master’s Degree program if you are an occupational therapist or have your bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy.

Students currently enrolled in a USC Chan master’s program may be eligible for expedited OTD admissions; otherwise, please review our standard admissions process.
