Chan Restorative Occupations Week

We are so excited for the upcoming Week of Restorative Occupations scheduled for March 8–12th. During this week, USC Chan’s classes are not being held, and students, faculty and staff are encouraged to engage in restorative occupations. In preparation for this week, we are sharing the supports and resources that will be available to you during this time.

The schedule of events for the Week of Restorative Occupations is subject to change, so please check back here to confirm the events taking place each day.

(Please note: students engaging in fieldwork must adhere to their fieldwork contracts/schedules at their respective sites.)

Free consultations for faculty, staff and students at the OTFP
March 1st-5th

Schedule a free, 15-minute consultation with an occupational therapist at the OT Faculty Practice to develop a customized plan for your week of restoration. A clinician will assist you with identifying your goals for the week and exploring the available resources to help you problem-solve, make decisions and schedule specific restorative occupations. To schedule a consultation, please call the office at (323) 442-3340 or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

Daily, division-hosted events
March 8th through March 12th

The division will be hosting a variety of daily restorative sessions that you can participate in. Activities vary from baking, arts and crafts, dancing, meditation, yoga and so much more! Explore the schedule of events, and feel free to join for any and all of the sessions. Participants of each session will be entered into a raffle to win a prize during each activity.

Be sure to consider participating in the kick-off event led by Dr. Baranek, Dr. Ashley Uyeshiro Simon and Dr. Diego Lopez on Monday, March 8th from 12:00–12:45pm focusing on restoration and the importance of staying connected.
