USC Chan ranked No. 2 in U.S. News’ 2025 rankings

Ranking reflects USC’s high reputation among nationwide peers.
The USC Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy is ranked the nation’s No. 2 occupational therapy educational program, according to 2025 Best Graduate Schools compiled by U.S. News & World Report. The recognition affirms USC Chan’s steadfast commitment to excellence across its educational, research and clinical practice mission areas.
U.S. News ranks accredited occupational therapy programs using peer assessments solicited from academic leaders across the country. The ranking reflects the high regard in which USC Chan is held among the occupational therapy community.
USC Chan offers a range of academic programs ranging from the undergraduate Minor in Occupational Science to post-doctoral training to certification programs for current practitioners. The first cohort of students in the division’s fully-accredited Entry-Level Doctorate (OTD) of Occupational Therapy program will graduate next month at the 2025 Commencement.
USC Chan is also renowned for its research enterprise; USC Chan faculty currently hold nearly $28.7 million of research funding from federal agencies. Four dozen clinical faculty members treat patients at 13 sites of services across the Greater Los Angeles area, including Keck Medicine of USC hospitals and clinics, at the USC Occupational Therapy Faculty Practice locations, at primary care settings and out in the community.
