Engage: Trojan Neighbors
Engage: Trojan Neighbors is a community outreach program designed to foster the relationship between USC’s OT graduate students and the surrounding community. We are passionate about the pediatric population! We encourage students to take knowledge from the classroom and gain hands-on experience interacting with youth through volunteering, networking, and exploratory opportunities.
As your friendly neighborhood OTs, we strive to create plenty of opportunities to connect with children and engage in fun, memorable, and meaningful occupations together. We hope to brighten the lives of future generations and partner with community leaders to make a lasting difference. Through creative crafts, outdoor play, inclusive sports, and more, Engage advocates for the promotion of positive social interactions, healthy habits, lifelong learning, and joyful occupations.
Events
Engage volunteers decorated cards for 5-Eleven Hoops athletes and patients at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
Volunteers helped run the USC Pediatrics booth at the LA Times Festival of Books, helping kids create their own short stories and making homemade lava lamps!
We volunteered at the Abilities Expo with Angel City Sports and had the chance to learn how to play various adaptive sports, including wheelchair basketball and blind soccer!
