Research

Our research on sensory brain-behavior relationships is enhanced through collaborations with neuroscientists, physicians, psychologists, and educators. The clinical populations with which we directly interface include children with autism, developmental dyspraxia, sensorineural hearing loss, prenatal alcohol exposure, and generalized learning disabilities. Our research expertise incudes:

• Use of multimodal neuroimaging to understand sensorimotor integration in typical children and those with neurodevelopmental conditions
• Evaluation of social emotional health in children from birth through adolescence
• Use of clinical trial methodology to evaluate the efficacy and effectiveness of rehabilitation interventions
