Special Considerations

Your experience matters.
Already have relevant training or experience in Lifestyle Redesign? The Special Considerations pathway recognizes your prior education and professional experience so you can move toward certification more efficiently.

Purpose: This process allows occupational therapy practitioners (OTPs) with prior Lifestyle Redesign coursework, continuing education, or clinical experience to receive credit toward certification requirements.

OTPs who would like to apply to receive credit toward Lifestyle Redesign certification requirements should submit a Special Consideration Application before enrolling in additional courses, or anytime before applying to take the exam.

Activities that may qualify (pending review):

• Coursework, continuing education, and/or practice experience relevant to Lifestyle Redesign,
• Completed within the 7 years immediately prior to applying for exam eligibility.
