Colleen Carroll OTD, OTR/L is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Clinical Occupational Therapy for the mental health immersion course. She earned her master’s degree in occupational therapy from the USC Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy in 2019, followed by her clinical doctorate in 2020. She is passionate about integrating holistic approaches into occupational therapy to support mental health recovery and help individuals engage more fully in meaningful occupations. She currently serves as the Director of Occupational Therapy at Gateways Hospital & Mental Health Center, where she oversees OT services for individuals with serious mental illness in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
In addition to her clinical and academic work, Colleen is also passionate about marine conservation and education. She volunteers as a naturalist on local whale watch boats, sharing her passion and knowledge about whales and other marine life with the public.
