About USC Chan Global Initiatives
Mission Statement
Recognizing that our world is becoming increasingly interconnected and interdependent, and with the firm belief that occupational therapy plays an integral role in enriching the health and well-being of all people, the USC Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy Global Initiatives office was established in 2014.
Vision
By forging vibrant partnerships with occupational therapists and occupational scientists from around the world, as well as by fostering increased mutual learning among USC faculty and students, we enhance the ability of our profession to influence the health and quality of life of individuals worldwide.
Mission
Global Initiatives has a two-pronged mission:
- to build upon and expand the division’s collaborative relationships with the global occupational science and occupational therapy community, including clinicians, researchers, educators, fieldwork instructors and students; and
- to support and nurture our many outstanding international students who are presently enrolled in the division’s academic programs.
The faculty members, postdoctoral fellows and graduate students who together compose Global Initiatives gladly welcome ideas and suggestions from faculty, staff and students as we envision an increasingly globally-connected USC Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy.
