Student Education and Training

Because USC faculty occupational therapists are integral members of care teams at 10 sites of service across the Keck Medicine of USC health care system, our occupational therapy students get exclusive learning opportunities not available anywhere — or to anybody — else!

Clinic-to-Classroom Education

USC faculty clinicians who primarily treat patients also teach USC students, integrating practical, authentic examples into class-based lectures and discussions. This powerful blend of real-world expertise and educational insights positions USC students for confidence and success.

Exclusive Sites for Fieldwork Education

In addition to 750+ contracted fieldwork sites, USC occupational therapy students benefit from exclusive learning opportunities at sites across the USC health care system. Read firsthand accounts of student fieldwork experiences through our student blog.

AOTA-Approved Fellowships

USC Chan offers two post-graduate fellowship programs accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA). AOTA Fellowships offer specialized training and mentorship for occupational therapists interested in gaining advanced skills while still earning an income.
