Conferences and Symposia
USC Trojans have strong representation at the official conferences of the:

• World Federation of Occupational Therapists
• American Occupational Therapy Association
• Occupational Therapy Association of California
• Society for the Study of Occupation:USA

We also host our own USC Chan Occupational Science Symposium.

Fairs and Festivals
More than 200 occupational therapy students and alumni attend the USC Chan Occupational Therapy Career Fair each year to meet with employers.

Ceremonies
Our annual White Coat Ceremony formally celebrates the entrance of our incoming students into the occupational therapy profession. We celebrate the conferral of degrees each year at Commencement.

ACOTE accreditation | NBCOT certification

The USC entry-level master’s degree program (cost of attendance) is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education® (ACOTE®) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA). The USC entry-level doctorate in occupational therapy (OTD) degree program (cost of attendance) has applied for accreditation and has been granted Preaccreditation Status by ACOTE®. The program must complete an on-site evaluation and be granted Accreditation Status before its graduates will be eligible to sit for the national certification examination for the occupational therapist administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc.® (NBCOT®).
