Emily C. Sweiss is an assistant professor of clinical occupational therapy with expertise in sensory reactivity and sensory integration. Her program of research emphasizes and explores the importance of infant sensory reactivity as it relates to parent-infant interaction, early development, and family well-being. She is especially interested in mitigating overwhelming experiences for new families through effective parent-infant co-regulation and management of sensory reactivity differences in real time.

Dr. Sweiss completed her occupational therapy training and PhD in occupational science at USC Chan, and completed postdoctoral training in experimental psychology at Chapman University.
