180 Medical Scholarships

180 Medical is a leading urologic catheter supplier in the US; this scholarship is to help young adults get a quality education despite their medical hardships. The Agnes Jones Jackson Scholarship was established in the memory of the late Agnes Jones Jackson, who was a long time NAACP member from the San Francisco branch. more

Albert Schweitzer Fellowship

Founded in 2007 thanks to a generous start-up grant from Kaiser Permanente of Southern California, the Los Angeles Schweitzer Fellows Program is dedicated to developing a corps of emerging professionals who enter the workforce with the skills and commitment necessary to address unmet health needs. more

AlgaeCal Health Scholarship

Do you have a passion for health and wellness? Are you one of the hundreds of thousands of students across North America struggling to afford tuition, school supplies, and books? Asian Pacific Alumni Association Scholarship

The USC Asian Pacific Alumni Association (APAA) Scholarship Program recipients are selected on the basis of academic achievement, personal merit, demonstration of financial need and contributions made to Asian Pacific American communities. more

Association on American Indian Affairs Scholarship

Association on American Indian Affairs (AAIA) is the oldest non-profit serving Indian Country protecting sovereignty, preserving culture, educating youth and building capacity. They offer a scholarship program for Native American students seeking an Associate’s degree or higher. more

Because College is Expensive Scholarship

The $500 “Because College is Expensive” Scholarship is open to all students and those planning on enrolling within 24 months. The winner will be determined by random drawing and then contacted directly and announced on this Scholarship page. One entry per person is all that is necessary. more

Black Alumni Association Scholarship

The USC Black Alumni Association scholarship recipients will be selected on the basis of academic and personal merit and demonstrated involvement within the African-American community. Please see website for application, volunteer hours/other requirements, and renewal process. more

Byron Hanke Fellowship

The Foundation for Community Association Research (FCAR) awards its Byron Hanke Fellowship to selected graduate students to implement research projects related to the development, management and governance of common interest communities and their community associations. more

California Foundation for Occupational Therapy (CFOT)

California Latino Legislative Caucus Foundation (CLLCF) Scholarship

The California Latino Legislative Caucus Foundation (CLLCF) is pleased to invite all qualified California residents to apply for a scholarship. This scholarship program was established to assist deserving students by offering financial assistance to help meet educational expenses. more

California Strawberry Scholarships

The California Strawberry Scholarship Program has awarded more than $2.6 million to hundreds of children of strawberry farmworkers. Scholarship awards provide assistance with tuition, room and board, textbooks, and other educational expenses associated with college enrollment. more

Charlotte W. Newcombe Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship

Designed to encourage original and significant study of ethical or religious values in all fields of humanities and social sciences, this fellowship helps PhD candidates complete their dissertation. Applicants should be writing dissertation on topics where ethical and religious values are of central concern. more

Daughters of the American Revolution Occupational/Physical Therapy Scholarship

The DAR organization is comprised of women who honor their heritage and make a difference in their community. This scholarship may not be offered for the current school year. Email and check the website for more information. more

Davis-Putter Scholarship Fund

The Davis-Putter Scholarship Fund aids people active in movements for social and economic justice. These need-based scholarships are awarded to students who are able to do academic work at the college or university level or are enrolled in a trade or technical program and who are active in the progressive movement. Applicants must have participated in activities in the U.S., and there is a strong preference for applicants who plan on working in this country. more

Dr. Robin Unger Medical Impact Scholarship

One of the most respected hair transplant surgeons in the world, Dr. Robin Unger’s practice is committed to hair restoration in men and women. Every day Dr. Unger sees the difference that modern medicine can make in the lives of her patients. As such, she seeks to provide some assistance to students pursuing education in the field of medicine so that they can help other patients in the future. more

Dr. Rodolfo Montes Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is to honor the spirit of a self-made man, Dr. Rodolfo Montes — a USC School of Dentistry alumnus, who worked hard for his community and who valued the notion of giving people the resources to help themselves. more

Easter Seals South Carolina Foundation Scholarship

Easter Seals South Carolina offers some educational scholarships to deserving disabled students who desire to complete their college education and become productive citizens. Ford Foundation Dissertation Fellowship

Through its Fellowship Programs, the Ford Foundation seeks to increase the diversity of the nation’s college and university faculties by increasing their ethnic and racial diversity, maximize the educational benefits of diversity, and increase the number of professors who can and will use diversity as a resource for enriching the education of all students. more

Ford Foundation Predoctoral Fellowship

Through its Fellowship Programs, the Ford Foundation seeks to increase the diversity of the nation’s college and university faculties by increasing their ethnic and racial diversity, maximize the educational benefits of diversity, and increase the number of professors who can and will use diversity as a resource for enriching the education of all students. more

Gates Millennium Scholarship

Applicants are chosen based on academic achievement, community service, and leadership potential. Award is renewable contingent upon academic progress and graduate school funding is available for continuing Gates Millennium Scholars. more

Haynes Foundation — Doctoral Dissertation Fellowships

The fellowships are competitive and are awarded to students whose dissertation proposals have been approved and which address economic, social, policy or political problems of the Los Angeles area. Please see website for specific application guidelines. more

Health Professions Education Foundation Allied Healthcare Scholarship (AHS)

Awardee must commit to a one-year service obligation or 100–150 hours volunteer service practicing direct care in a medically underserved area of California. Applicant must mail in an application packet containing official transcript(s), a personal statement, two letters of recommendation, a graduation date verification form, current SAR/federal tax return and W-2, and copy of cost of attendance. more

Hispanic Scholarship Fund

The HSF Scholarship is designed to assist students of Hispanic heritage obtain a university degree. Scholarships are available, on a competitive basis, to: high school seniors; undergraduate students (all years); community college students transferring to four year universities; graduate students. more

Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE): Help Center Scholarship for Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy Students

The HIE Help Center will award one scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to an undergraduate or graduate student who plans to pursue a career in physical, occupational, or speech therapy. more

Immigranted

Immigranted is a non-profit organization that provides interest-free micro-loans to first- and second-generation immigrants seeking or achieving higher education. Micro-loans will fund necessities that will support a student with higher education expenses. more

Institute for Diversity in Health Management Scholarship Programs

Applicants must demonstrate financial need, and a commitment to community service and academic excellence. The scholarship programs offered are the Diversified Investment Advisor Leaders in Healthcare Scholarship, Elliott C. Roberts Scholarship, and Cathy L. Brock Memorial Scholarship. more

iVein® Health and Wellness Scholarship

Josephine de Karman Fellowship Trust

The Josephine De Karman Fellowship Trust was established in 1954 by the late Dr. Theodore Von Karman, world renowned aeronautics expert and teacher and first director of the Guggenheim Aeronautical Laboratory at the California Institute of Technology, in memory of his sister, Josephine, who passed away in 1951. more

KB Delta College Scholarship

KB Delta Compressor Valve Parts is dedicated to helping to support higher education and is offering an annual $1,000 scholarship. more

Kennedy-King Memorial College Scholarship for Graduate Students

Founded in memory of Doctor Martin Luther King, Jr. and Senator Robert F. Kennedy in 1968, we provide $10,000 college scholarships to students from minority groups under-represented at California’s four-year colleges and universities with financial need and who have demonstrated academic success at one of the three community colleges in Contra Costa County. more

Korean American Scholarship Fund

KASF scholarships (which range from $500 to $5,000) are offered to the qualified Korean American students (including foreign students from Korea). All applicants must be enrolled in a full time program in the U.S. during the scholarship application year. If extra funds are available, other students (non Koreans) may qualify for scholarships. Specifically, descendants of American veterans served during the Korean War may qualify for scholarships (applicable to selective regions). more

La Unidad Latina Foundation Scholarship

LULF supports all students, regardless of legal status, who have demonstrated a dedication to advancing the Latino community. more

Lambda LGBT Alumni Association Scholarship

USC Lambda is the LGBT Alumni Association for the University of Southern California, and the organization sponsors a number of scholarships each year to current or incoming LGBT and Ally USC students who are making a difference in the LGBT community. more

Latino Alumni Association Scholarship

This association funds students who are committed to the Latino community, and show leadership potential and exceptional academic and professional potential. more

LNESC Emergency Scholarship Fund

The LNESC Emergency Scholarship Fund is a joint partnership between LNESC and Macy’s to provide financial resources to deserving students facing economic hardship and immediate monetary need that, if not met, could result in an inability to complete classes or a degree program. more

LULAC National Scholarship Fund

LNESC and LULAC established the LULAC National Scholarship Fund (LNSF) to help youth in underserved communities make the dream of college enrollment a reality. LNSF is a unique partnership between grassroots advocates and corporations that fund educational opportunities for deserving youth across the U.S. more

Michael Moody Fitness Scholarships

Scholarship of $1,500 to a high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student who has demonstrated outstanding achievement, participation, and leadership in school activities and work experience, and interest in pursuing a career in the health and fitness related fields. more

MPower Global Citizen Scholarship

At MPower, we believe that we’re not just expanding access to higher education. We’re also creating globally-minded, multi-lingual, culturally-competent graduates poised to take on the world’s most pressing problems in science, technology, business, and public policy! In recognition of the extraordinary potential of these students, we’ve created the MPOWER Global Citizen Scholarship. Norman Topping Student Aid Fund (NTSAF)

The Normal Topping Student Aid Fund is the only student-initiated, student-funded, primarily student-administered scholarship in the nation. It aims to develop a sense of community, empower scholars to provide quality programming and student-centered service, maintain the integrity of the Governing Board, and promote the spirit of the fund. more

Occupational Health Internship Program

Teams of two students are placed with a union or worker organization to work on projects that investigate job-related health and safety problems among workers, often of new immigrant groups, employed in an under-served or a high hazard job. Projects are designed to maximize contact between workers and interns. Through this process, interns gain a better understanding of the complexity of the work environment from the workers’ perspective. more

Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans

Every year, The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans supports thirty New Americans, immigrants or the children of immigrants, who are pursuing graduate school in the United States. Each Fellowship supports one to two years of graduate study in any field and in any advanced degree-granting program in the United States. more

Point Foundation Scholarship

Point Foundation (Point) is the nation’s largest higher education scholarship-granting organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) students. Point’s multifaceted support of its scholarship recipients (“scholars”) extends far beyond direct financial contribution toward the cost of their education. Each scholar is paired with a mentor and participates in leadership development programs and events. more

Porch Skilled Trade & Technology Scholarships

Growing demand and lack of qualified workers in skilled trades and technology means it’s a great time to go back to school and enter these lucrative and fast-growing industries. To help keep up with demand and assist the next generation of professionals, Porch will award a $2,000 scholarship four times a year to eligible students. more

Prism Foundation Scholarship

The purpose of the Prism Foundation Scholarship is to celebrate and reward outstanding scholar activists who are making a positive impact on the API and LGBTQ+ communities. High school seniors, undergraduate, graduate, and trade/vocational school students are encouraged to apply. more

Provost’s PhD Fellowship Program

The Provost's PhD Fellowship Program is comprised of Provost's Fellowships and Provost's Diversity Fellowships. At least two years of funding will be in the form of fellowships, and the remaining years will consist of teaching/research assistantships. more

Research Gateway Scholar Program

The program prepares students for graduate school, research experiences, faculty mentorships, symposiums and conferences, and publishing opportunities. The program provides professional development and invaluable networking experiences. more

Rockwell Dennis Hunt Scholastic Award

Running of the Bulls Scholarship

The Running of the Bulls®, Inc. is pleased to announce a scholarship program designed to benefit immigrants or children of immigrants in the United States who want to further their education. The Undocupoets Fellowship annually grants TWO $500 fellowships, with no strings attached, to poets who are currently or who were formerly undocumented in the United States to help defray the cost of poetry-related submission fees. more

Skull and Dagger Foundation Scholarship

The all university honor society at the University of Southern California. Four scholarships awarded annually to continuing USC students (graduate or undergraduate) who have demonstrated significant campus and/or community leadership. more

SPEDxchange Future SPED Teacher Scholarship

SPEDxchange is offering a $1,000 scholarship for undergraduate or graduate students that are interested in working with special needs students. more

Town and Gown of USC Scholarship

Town and Gown of USC is a non-profit philanthropic organization whose purpose is to support USC through scholarships. This is a merit-based scholarship that is awarded annually to solely ease the cost of tuition. more

Tylenol Future Care Scholarship

Each year the makers of TYLENOL® award annual scholarships to well deserving students pursuing careers in healthcare. more

UCLA Dream Summer Fellowship

Dream Summer has provided over 694 fellowship opportunities to immigrant youth and allies and has partnered with over 250 social justice organizations across the country. Dream Summer fellows receive a $5,000 fellowship award for their participation in the program, leadership and professional development training, and become part of a national alumni network of over 650 immigrant rights leaders. more

UCLA Immigrant Justice Fellowship

The Immigrant Justice Fellowship (IJF) is a project of the UCLA Labor Center’s Dream Resource Center (DRC). IJF is a California rapid response fellowship that aims to: (1) center the voices and experiences of undocumented immigrant youth in the immigrant rights movement, (2) protect and defend undocumented communities from mass detention and deportation, and (3) create a welcoming, healthy, and just society for immigrants. Five immigrant youth, rooted in directly impacted communities, are selected to participate in this full-time fellowship. more

United Methodist GBHEM Scholarships

The GBHEM scholarship application opens in January of each year. You can only submit one application per year where it will be screened for all possible eligible programs. more

United Nurses Associations of California/Union of Health Care Professionals (UNAC/UHCP)

Ongoing program of scholarships available to students seeking health care professional degrees at an accredited institution located in Southern California. more

University Staff Club

Fifteen $1,000 awards will be given. Applicants are selected based on academic record, activities, service, future goals, and financial need. more

USC Global Scholar

Award is administered by the Office of Undergraduate Programs to recognize USC undergraduates who excelled academically while becoming world-citizens. Up to ten $10,000 awards offered. Students must submit a capstone project (criteria for each school available online) and a reflective essay. more

USC Graduate School Endowed Fellowships for PhD Students

The USC Graduate School Endowed Fellowship Competition is held yearly in the spring. Fellowships available are the Anna Bing Arnold Fellowships, Louis D. Beaumont Fellowship, Chen Fellowship, Morkovin Fellowship, Oakley Fellowship, and John Stauffer Fellowship. Eligibility differs based on specific fellowship. Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE) Professional Student Exchange Program (Occupational Therapy)

WICHE's Professional Student Exchange Program (PSEP) enables students in 10 western states and the CNMI to enroll in selected out-of-state professional healthcare programs and pay reduced tuition. States typically fund students to enroll through PSEP if a professional healthcare program is not available at one of their in-state public institutions. more

Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program

The Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program (YR) is a provision of the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008. This program allows degree granting institutions in the United States to voluntarily enter into an agreement with the VA to fund tuition and fees that exceed the VA’s base benefit.
