What brought you to occupational therapy?
I graduated from UC Irvine in 2016, and worked as a medical assistant for 3 years before starting the program. Before coming into the field of Occupational Therapy, I was pursuing nursing, but had a career change when I realized that OT was a better fit for me.

What area of practice are you interested in?
The area of practice that I am interested in is stroke rehabilitation, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and adult rehabilitation.

What are some of the occupations you engage in?
Hanging out at coffee shops, eating delicious food with my friends, and more recently, cooking!

Tell us about your favorite memory from the program so far.
My favorite memory in the OT program so far was when my friends and I went out to celebrate after our last final during this past Fall semester. We went to go eat Thai food and got cheap boba afterwards! It was a great time.

If your childhood had a smell, what would it be?
If my childhood had a smell, it would either be the scent of my mom making Korean food, or the body spray of my angsty teenage days: Love Spell by Victoria’s Secret haha.

What song can you sing entirely by heart?
Crazy in Love by Beyoncé.
