Keck Hospital of USC and USC Norris Cancer Hospital Occupational Therapy
Expert Clinical Care
No matter what illness, disease or disability stands in the way, USC occupational therapists believe that the path to resume healthy, satisfying and productive lives back home begins at the hospital bedside. At Keck Hospital of USC and USC Norris Cancer Hospital, we ensure recovery from medical or surgical procedures, maximize functional activity, minimize the impact of illness or injury on daily activities, promote adaptation and resiliency to life-changing health conditions and improve acute care outcomes.
At the USC hospitals and the affiliated outpatient clinics, our complex patients require comprehensive, individualized, evidence-based care. USC occupational therapists pride themselves as clinicians dedicated to providing advanced clinical services in support of health, wellness, functional and quality of life needs of our patients. By initiating the rehabilitation process as early as possible, our occupational therapists have the potential to reduce hospital length of stay, reduce the risk of hospital-acquired infection and develop specialized transition care plans that involve family members and other sources of social support in order to improve home and community safety and reduce the likelihood of readmission.
