Abraham Kim is the manager of occupational therapy inpatient rehab at Keck Hospital of USC. He has clinical experience across a wide range of settings, including outpatient care, pediatrics, memory care, and acute care. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Pepperdine University and completed his Doctorate in Occupational Therapy at Rush University in Chicago. Dr. Kim completed his clinical training and research in Seoul, South Korea, where his doctoral project focused on stigma surrounding mental health, specifically among South Korean occupational therapists.

Before joining USC, Dr. Kim worked in an outpatient setting and served as a professor teaching evidence-based practice to graduate-level occupational therapy students. Through these roles, he developed a strong understanding of the importance of evidence-based practice across all occupational therapy settings. Dr. Kim has a particular interest in mental health and neurological conditions, with a focus on dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. In his clinical work, he has observed that memory plays a central role in daily occupational roles. He has participated in occupational therapy and psychology related work across many cities including Shanghai, Seoul, Chicago, San Francisco, and throughout Los Angeles County.
