Dr. Amanda Speights is an innovative, solutions-oriented leader with a clinical background in occupational therapy. She is skilled at data-driven decision making to achieve short-term and long-term goals using evidence-informed strategies. Her clinical experience includes working with children and adults in school-based, hospital, home health, outpatient, prescribed pediatric extended care (PPEC) and telehealth settings.
Dr. Speights is dedicated to serving the occupational therapy profession through her work as a clinical fieldwork educator, former Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy® (NBCOT) pediatric and school-based practice content and instructor for professional OT continuing education courses. She currently serves as an OT practice representative on the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education® (ACOTE) Roster of Accreditation Evaluators (RAE), assisting in evaluating the compliance of occupational therapy and occupational therapy assistant educational programs with ACOTE accreditation standards through on-site evaluations and online reviews. Dr. Speights is a member of USC Chan’s admissions team, and is passionate about increasing diversity in occupational therapy.
