Dr. Amanda Speights is a solutions-focused leader and experienced occupational therapist with a background in clinical practice and education. She is adept at using data-driven decision-making and evidence-informed strategies to reach both short-term and long-term goals. Her clinical experience includes working with children and adults in school-based, hospital, home health, outpatient, prescribed pediatric extended care (PPEC), and telehealth settings.
At USC Chan, she serves as the Admissions Coordinator for the BS-OTD and OS Minor programs. She also teaches OT 509: Seniors Rising: Occupational Foundations for Graduate Success and has been involved in curriculum revision to align courses with updated requirements. As a qualified clinical educator and academic advisor, she proven record of student success.
Dr. Speights is a former Subject Matter Expert for the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) and a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA). She currently serves as a Team Chairperson on the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) Roster of Accreditation Evaluators (RAE), where she helps evaluate educational programs for compliance with accreditation standards.
