In honor of OT Month, the USC Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy chose to celebrate in a way that was true to our profession and philosophy — philanthropy! After all, what better way is there to combine increasing visibility of occupational therapy with our passion to give back to the community?

The philanthropy chairs of the Occupational Therapy and Science Council (OTSC), Henna Manglani and Elissa S. Lee, envisioned and built a committee as a platform for occupational therapy students to do good in the community. The committee, now a 56-person family, creates, promotes, and executes philanthropy projects in our community. The students on the committee, as well as other members of the Trojan family, make these events come to life. For OT Month, six unique events were created to celebrate occupational therapy’s commitment to philanthropy and of course, the profession.
