Autism Chan in the Media Faculty Research
Los Angeles-based television stations KCBS2 and KCAL9 highlighted a USC Chan-led research study during the stations’ evening news broadcasts on Friday, June 8.
The video package highlighted the National Institutes of Health-funded Sensory Adapted Dental Environments to Enhance Oral Care for Children study being lead by Principal Investigator Professor Sharon Cermak.
“First thing we do is turn off the lights,” said USC Chan occupational science student Lucia Floríndez PhD ’19, to describe some of the sensory adaptations made to the dental clinic located at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
