Assistant/Associate Professor of Research - Occupational Therapy (OPEN RANK): Statistical Methodologist/Data Analyst

The Mrs. T. H. Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy invites applicants for a full-time research faculty position (non-tenure track) at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Research (Statistical Methodologist/Data Analyst). The Chan Division has a vibrant and active research program in three core areas, each of which may cover a wide range of topics: 1) Health Promotion and Prevention (e.g., chronic conditions such as diabetes, healthy aging; 2) Rehabilitation, Health Service and Brain-Body (e.g., musculoskeletal sonography and occupational performance, neural plasticity and neurorehabilitation), and 3) Sensory Integration, Engagement, and Family Life for People with Autism and Related Neurodevelopment (e.g., the study of sensory processing, adapting environments for people with sensory sensitivities).

The successful applicant will serve as the statistician for some of these projects and will plan, conduct, and report on analyses. The position will include consultation with other faculty on data analysis, research planning, project development (included grant writing), and dissemination of findings. Qualifications include a PhD or the equivalent in biostatistics, quantitative psychology, statistics, epidemiology or similar. All applicants should have firm understanding of linear models generally. We are particularly interested in applicants with expertise and experience in clinical trials, causal models, hierarchical models, and/or epidemiology. Experience in machine learning, imaging data, social network, psychometrics, and/or survival analysis is also a positive. USC is an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer.

The annual base salary range for this position is $95,000 - $115,000.
