Dr. Marisa Hernandez Moore completed her BA in Psychology at the University of San Diego, followed by her MA and Doctorate degrees in Occupational Therapy at the University of Southern California. Dr. Hernandez Moore completed her clinical residency at Keck Medical Center of USC focusing in the acute rehabilitation unit (ARU). Upon completion of her residency, she remained at USC as Assistant Professor of Clinical Occupational Therapy, continuing her work in the ARU. Dr. Hernandez Moore later moved to Chicago where she worked in the Spinal Cord Innovation Center at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab (formerly RIC) followed by Rush University Medical Center in their inpatient rehab.

Dr. Hernandez Moore returned to USC as Assistant Professor of Clinical Occupational Therapy, providing direct patient care at Keck Medical Center of USC in acute care, inpatient rehab, and outpatient. She also serves as an instructor for core Entry-Level OTD courses including Adult Rehab, Assistive Technology, and Neurocognition. Dr. Hernandez Moore is certified in Physical Agent Modalities and has a special interest in the neurological patient population throughout the continuum of care. Additionally, Dr. Hernandez Moore serves as the Associate Director of Healthtech Makerspace where she works on 3D printing adaptive equipment for patients at Keck Medical Center of USC.
