Interim Program Director, Foundations of Lifestyle Redesign® Graduate Certificate, and Assistant Professor of Clinical Occupational Therapy

Gabby Granados OTD, OTR/L, LRC earned her bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees in occupational therapy at USC. She completed her residency at LA General Medical Center, where she developed a primary care Lifestyle Redesign® program addressing self-management of type 2 diabetes and hypertension. After completing her residency, Dr. Granados provided Lifestyle Redesign services to young adults with type 1 diabetes as part of the Resilient, Empowered, Active Living-Telehealth (REAL-T) Study, meanwhile working in an acute care hospital serving neuro, ICU, and COVID units. In her clinical practice, Dr. Granados prioritizes health equity and culturally responsive care to support clients’ chronic condition self-management and quality of life.

As a faculty member, Dr. Granados is a part of the Lifestyle Redesign Knowledge Mobilization Initiative (LR-KMI) team and serves as Interim Program Director for the Foundations of Lifestyle Redesign Graduate Certificate. She teaches Lifestyle Redesign courses in the E-OTD program, and serves as a mentor for the Access, Mentorship, Opportunity Program.
