Jenna Kobara OTD, OTR/L, SWC
Assistant Professor of Clinical Occupational Therapy, joint appointment with the Keck School of Medicine of USC, Department of Pediatrics and Appointed Faculty at the USC University Center of Excellence in Developmental Disabilities at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles
Jenna Kobara, OTD, OTR/L, SWC is currently an Assistant Professor of Clinical Occupational Therapy at the USC University Center of Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) based at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
She received her Masters of Arts degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Southern California (USC), and completed the Doctoral Program at USC. The focus for her project was about encouraging inter-professional collaboration between Ghanaian Community Based Rehabilitation and Ghanaian Occupational Therapy.
Jenna has an extensive amount of pediatric experience working with children with developmental delays and physical disabilities. She is certified in the Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT) and completed her Advanced Practice Certification in Swallowing Assessment, Evaluation, and Intervention. While at USC, she participated in the Training Occupational Therapy Specialists (TOTS) grant program, which provided her with additional mentoring and specialized training in early intervention and school-based occupational therapy. Jenna continues to enjoy her time traveling to Ghana to provide children with Occupational Therapy services and lecture at the local universities. She is passionate about working with children and their families and she is dedicated to providing therapy that is culturally fluid.
