USC Peace Garden
USC Peace Garden helps people connect to nature in their daily lives.
You are invited to drop in to any of these free events at your convenience. We hope to see you!
Fall Open Gardening Hours
Wednesdays, 12–1pm* and 3–6pm
Drop in any time during these hours for informal tours, gardening and other restorative outdoor occupations. Staff will be on hand to teach you how to engage in the gardening activities of the day, which typically include planting seeds, transplanting seedlings, propagating plants, watering, weeding, pruning and harvesting. Learn about composting, caring for fruit trees, vegetables and California native ornamental plants. *During lunchtime hours the garden is open for relaxing and taking a lunch break. Staff will not be leading gardening activities at that time.
Fall Groups and Workshops

Friday, November 3, 11am–12pm
Take a nature break with the Kortschak Center for Learning and Creativity to explore the garden, engage in sensory strategies and practice mindfulness.
Plant Adoption Center
Visitors to the USC Peace Garden are invited to adopt and take home a plant. We have a selection of hardy succulents — mostly jade and aloe — that we propagate on site.
