What brought you to USC?
USC has been my dream school since I was in middle school. I have always known I wanted to do OT and USC has one of the best programs!

What brought you to Occupational Therapy?
My brother has Down syndrome and I basically grew up in a doctors office. It sounds dumb, but when I was little I wanted to be an OT because I hated wearing shoes and my brother’s OT always wore cool socks when she worked with him. As I grew older I researched more about OT and I knew that it is what I want to do.

Describe your favorite occupational therapy course.
My favorite courses so far would either be Anatomy or Across the Lifespan: Occupations, Health and Disability. I really loved learning about anatomy and being able to observe the cadavers and see everything for real was a cool experience. I loved across the lifespan because I loved learning about development from birth to death.

Tell us about your favorite memory at USC in the program so far.
I love that the program is small so you get to know everyone in your class. Even though it doesn’t sound like fun, I love studying with everyone in the program because sometimes other people explain things in a way I understand.

What song can you sing entirely by heart?
What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction.

What are some small things that make your day better?
When I talk to my brother, he can always make me laugh even on my hardest days.
