Fady Habib OTD ’25

What brought you to occupational therapy?
I wanted to focus on health through an individualistic and holistic lens for different populations ranging from pediatrics to neurological injuries by focusing on occupations that give their life meaning.

What area of practice are you interested in?
The area of practice I’m most interested in working is neurorehabilitation because I have a passion for neuroscience and mental health. I want to create plans and modifications for diverse occupations that give joy and meaning to patients and clients.

What are some of the occupations you engage in?
I thankfully love engaging in a wide range of occupations that are mainly outdoors which range from sports like basketball, soccer, tennis and snowboarding to photography (which includes shooting and editing), traveling, finding new vegan restaurants and hiking.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
The best advice I’ve ever gotten was actually through a song called “My Dawg” by 21 Savage that said, “Just because it ain’t happened yet, don’t think that it’s not.” The verse speaks for itself.

You have your own late night talk show, who do you invite as your first guest?
The first guest I would invite on my late night show would have to be Kanye West. Whether you like him or not, he’s a polarizing figure within the music and fashion industry and his influence/impact is undeniably thought provoking.
