Jenny Yoon MA ’23

Hometown: Seoul, South Korea
Program: Entry-Level Master’s, Class of 2023

What brought you to USC?
The BS-MA OT program!! USC was my dream school since sophomore year of high school when I first found out about OT.

What are some of the occupations you engage in?
Some of my favorite occupations include knitting, nail art, and baking!

How do you plan to use Occupational Therapy in the future?
I just recently completed my first Level II Fieldwork experience over the summer at a skilled nursing facility and absolutely loved it! I would love to continue working with older adults in the hospital or SNF setting as an OT in the future.

If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?
I have never been to Europe before, so I would love to go on a tour of Europe one day with my family.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
Keep a gratitude journal! When I was younger, my dad suggested I keep a gratitude journal because there is always something to be thankful for even if it’s something very small. I started journaling ever since, and it has helped me keep a more positive outlook even when life gets difficult.
