What brought you to occupational therapy?
My first encounter with occupational therapy was at a hand therapy outpatient clinic and the OT made a splint for my little finger. I thought it was really awesome receiving something that was customized. It led me to learn about client centeredness in OT and that was what brought me to OT!
Describe your background before coming to occupational therapy.
I have been practising as a pediatric occupational therapist at an outpatient clinic for about 8 years and I enjoy the interactions with the children and their parents!
What are some of the occupations you engage in?
I like to run, do brush calligraphy, and sing.
Tell us about your favorite memory from the program so far.
I enjoy the various get togethers that the Division has organized. It has got to be the ice cream we had recently! I liked that we gathered together as a Division to enjoy ice cream and conversations!
If you could be immortal, what age would you choose to stop aging at and why?
I would stop aging at my current age. I like being at my age!
If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?
I would travel to Norway to see The Northern Lights!
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
“This too shall pass. Nothing is permanent.” This really encouraged me when I faced tough situations!
