Chan Partners with LA Community Organizations in Blanket Drive

USC Chan Global Initiatives partnered with the Bless One Foundation to hold a Winter Blanket Drive on behalf of the St. Joseph Center in Long Beach, California.

USC Chan student Maquela Noel OTD ’25 spearheaded the Blanket Drive and shared “Helping individuals in need has always meant something to me because I feel as though everyone deserves equal opportunities. The Drive allowed us to make an impact in the Los Angeles community, which I will cherish forever. It felt great to make an impact in my local community and to help bring change to many families, and I am beyond grateful for all the blanket donations we received and for the amount of support we received from USC staff and students.”
We were able to deliver more than 30 blankets and sleeping bags to St. Joseph Center on March 9.
Bless One Foundation founder and Chan Entry-Level OTD student Maquela Noel OTD ’25 and Global Initiatives director Danny Park with some of the blankets to be delivered to St. Joseph Center.
