Dr. Jamie Wilcox has been leading clinical innovation through the development of occupational therapy programs and services to benefit COVID-19 patients.

Dr. Jamie Wilcox, Associate Professor of Clinical Occupational Therapy, was recognized as a 2021 NBCOT Innovation Award recipient.
Established in 2020, this distinguished award recognizes the work of outstanding occupational therapy practitioners who demonstrate the delivery of evidence-based, effective and innovative programs or interventions that enhance the quality of lives of their clients.
Since 2014, Dr. Jamie Wilcox has provided exceptional patient care at Keck Medical Center of USC in a wide variety of treatment areas, including pulmonary, lung transplant, and critical care rehabilitation. As a national advocate for the role of occupational therapy in acute and critical care, she has dedicated herself to the care and management of critically ill patients in intensive care units. Over the past year, Dr. Wilcox has also become a highly visible leader in COVID-19 and post-COVID care. In addition to leading clinical innovation through the development of occupational therapy programs and services to benefit COVID-19 patients, she has widely disseminated her work through publications and presentations for the benefit of all stakeholders, including patients and their families, practitioners, and policy-makers.
