What brought you to occupational therapy?
My high school curriculum required a senior project to be done, where I had to present on a potential career that I wanted to pursue. I always knew that I wanted to help people, but I didn’t exactly know how I wanted to do it. I was struggling quite a bit since I was just a high school student and I didn’t have much exposure to many professions. Thankfully though, my close friend knew my personality and interests well and suggested that I look into occupational therapy. They even introduced me to their cousin who was a pediatric OT that graduated from USC’s program! I had the opportunity to interview and shadow them and everything just resonated with me. The creativity, whole-heartedness, and involvement made occupational therapy seem so enticing and I truly felt that my personality would fit well in the profession!
What area of practice are you interested in?
I’m mainly interested in Hand Therapy and Pediatrics, but I’m very open to different specialties and am excited about the upcoming immersions!

I love playing the guitar and piano, singing, and just being involved in music. Lets jam!
If your childhood had a smell, what would it be?
Egg tarts and Hong Kong-style cafe food.
What song can you sing entirely by heart?
With You by Chris Brown. When this song comes through on my car playlist, I’m definitely singing along!
