What brought you to occupational therapy?
What brought me to occupational therapy was their strive to offer diverse care to their clients regardless of background, ethnicity, race, sexuality or gender identity.

What area of practice are you interested in?
I’m mostly interested in working in the educational part of occupational therapy. I hope that I can one day teach my own class about lgbtq+ health care and how occupational therapists can better treat and include their lgbtq+ clients.

Describe your background before coming to occupational therapy.
I am coming into occupational therapy with a different educational background than my peers. I graduated with a BA in Gender Studies which allows me to see our material with a different view and offer insight from a feminist/gender studies perspective, something that I think occupational therapist need going forward.

What are some of the occupations you engage in?
My favorite occupations include going on hikes, going to the gym and hanging out with friends in local bars around the Los Angeles area.

What song can you sing entirely by heart?
Gold by Brockhampton.

What are some small things that make your day better?
Being able to listen to music and dance to my own music makes each day for me enjoyable and better. Being able to get those small groovy moves out once in a while makes all the difference.
