Program: Entry-Level Master’s, Class of 2023

What brought you to occupational therapy?
Babies!

Describe your background before coming to occupational therapy.
I’ve always loved babies and children and started working as a “mother’s helper” when I was in 2nd grade. I then became a babysitter, nanny, camp counselor, etc. I have always loved science and after I worked as a Floortime Player at an OT summer camp for children with various developmental challenges, I recognized how OT was a beautiful combination of science, observation, problem solving and connection with others.

What are some of the occupations you engage in?
I am an adrenaline junky, and love any occupations that involve heights or adventure. In fact, I went bungee jumping, skydiving, and cage shark diving all within 24 hours!

If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?
I would travel to Mauritius. I was supposed to go a few years ago but the seas were too rough so I couldn’t get there. I am anxious to make up the trip!

You have your own late night talk show, who do you invite as your first guest?
Michelle Obama, of course.
