Kathleen Davidson MA ’20

Hometown: Tempe, AZ
Program: Entry-Level Master’s, Class of 2020

What brought you to occupational therapy?
Having watched my son benefit from early intervention OT for feeding and motor delays, as well as meeting clinicians who love what they do, has inspired me to pursue the profession. I also love the blend of science and creativity that infuses the work.

What area of practice are you interested in?
I am really interested in pediatrics and motor control. I was a professional ballet and modern dancer, choreographer and teacher in my first life. As a kinesthetic learner, I find it hard to sit still, and enjoy moving around a room.

Tell us about your favorite memory from the program so far.
My cohort classmates and I are foodies! We implemented a monthly potluck pretty early on, and take it very seriously.

What is your favorite quote?
Leadership is not a position or a title, it is action and example. — Donald McGannon

You have your own late-night talk show, who do you invite as your first guest?
Trevor Noah. Humor is a precious commodity during these disruptive, unpredictable times.
