Program: Entry-Level Master’s, Class of 2021

What brought you to occupational therapy?
A mix of different things but most importantly the holistic view of therapy and how OTs can bring so much joy to clients by asking about what they enjoy!

What are some of the occupations you engage in?
I love hiking, camping, and being outdoors. I have so much to explore on the west coast and am always looking for suggestions! I’ve worked with Conservation Corps and love being able to help provide other people with the joys of the outdoors.

Tell us about your favorite memory from the program so far.
My favorite memory this far was from my mental health fieldwork and being able to see and hear about real differences we’ve made to clients. Saying goodbye is hard but can also show us how we have made an impact.

What song can you sing entirely by heart?
I went through a phase where I memorized Eminem songs, so Lose Yourself by Eminem. Memorized it so well that I still know it.

What are some small things that make your day better?
Friends giving you a smile, laugh or hug. Why are all OTs so wonderful?? Also seeing funny memes.
