What brought you to occupational therapy?
I was all set to go into Industrial Organizational Psychology and Human Resources. I wanted to help the employees with their work fit, team-building, happiness, etc, but the business atmosphere was not for me. Luckily, OT came by as a more stable and fun option! A family friend who was an USC OT graduate told me about her job right before I applied to IOP grad schools, and within a month, I started my prerequisites for OT.
What area of practice are you interested in?
Hand therapy, hands down (haha . . .), and ergonomics!
What are some of the occupations you engage in?
Crafts/DIY, weight lifting and running, reading.
If we opened your fridge, what would we see?
According to my roommate, Dr. Pepper, Pizza Hut, and Wienerschnitzel. Good thing I like to exercise or else my body would hate me.
What Hogwarts house would you be in and why?
Ravenclaw! I love watching The Big Bang Theory and Sherlock and teaching myself random skills and figuring out how things work. And the prospect of learning hand anatomy excites me. I don’t think anyone else would find that exciting.
