Program: Post-Professional OTD, Class of 2019
Leadership concentration: Advanced Clinical Practice
Graduating year: 2019
Graduating year for your Master’s degree: 2018
What brought you to occupational therapy?
It’s the most cliché, but I just like being able to be there for people. I think it’s such a beautiful gift being able to get a glimpse into someone else’s life, helping them realize their potential, and then getting a front row seat to watch what they do with that.
Where are you located for your residency and what services are provided there?
Families Together of Orange County; OT in primary care!
What do you hope to learn from this year?
You know, coming off of my master’s I really did feel like I had a good, solid foundation to build upon, but I felt like with one more year of intentional learning I could expand that foundation more and give myself the potential to build up even higher in the future.
If you could give any words of advice for incoming Master’s students, what would it be?
Be open to any and all experiences and opportunities. It might turn out differently than you were expecting, but that’s okay! You give yourself the chance to have it turn out even better than you were anticipating.
