Hometown: Scranton, PA
Program: Entry-Level Master’s, Class of 2015

What brought you to occupational therapy?
It was actually a long series of events that finally guided me to occupational therapy. Its philosophy of engagement in meaningful occupation and promoting independence is what really drew me to occupational therapy.

What area of practice are you interested in?
Physical disability.

Describe your background before coming to occupational therapy.
Before occupational therapy I graduated with a BS in Psychology from the University of Scranton.

What are some of the occupations you engage in?
Hiking, reading, watching films, listening to music.

Tell us about your favorite memory from the program so far.
One of my favorite memories from the program so far involved studying with the rest of my cohort for our midterm practical in Adult Rehabilitation. We were all pretty stressed and nervous and practicing ROM, sensation, MMT and transfers on each other. I remember we were all in the lab together and even though we were nervous we still were able to laugh with each other and we knew we were all in it together. The feeling of camaraderie we felt that day brought us closer, and it’s something I will never forget.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?
To be able to fly/teleport, so that I could get places quicker.

What are two truths and a lie about yourself?
I am left-handed. Carson Daly is my second cousin. I raised 18 poodle puppies when I was in high school.
