What brought you to OT?
Since high school, I wanted to enter some field of therapy. I was especially motivated while running track at my junior college. A group of physically disabled adults received therapy at a small gym right by the track and that always motivated the heck out of me during difficult practices. That led me to research different therapy practices which is how I found OT.

What are some occupations you engage in?
I have a lot of different occupations to get me through the day. I recently started playing pickleball and now I’m obsessed and play 2-3 times a week. A bit of an unusual occupation is pen-spinning. I’ve been twirling pens in my fingers since elementary school and I now can’t focus on or read anything academic without spinning a pen in my hand.

How do you plan to use OT in the future?
Apart from my professional practice, I would like to utilize my professional knowledge and experience to help friends and family who could benefit from having an OT close by. I have uncles who are very handy and it’s nice having people to rely on to help with things around the house. I’d like to find ways to provide that kind of luxury to my friends and family with OT.

If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?
I would love to visit Japan. I’m part Japanese and I just love Asian culture and food. I’ve heard so many great things about Japan so it’s number 1 on my list of places to visit.

If you were famous, what would you be famous for?
I’d probably be famous for my immense charisma and that indefinable quality that makes a star. Just kidding. If anything, it’d be for winning my high school senior men’s Mr. Charger pageant.
