What do you like about occupational therapy?

I like occupational therapy because it utilizes seemingly simple tools and straightforward methodologies to achieve the purpose of returning clients to a well-balanced and healthy life and improving their quality of life, which is astonishing and full of creativity.
我喜欢作业疗法，因为它给人惊喜并且极具创造力。它使用看似简单和直截了当的方法，实现了让客户恢复均衡健康的生活、提高生活质量的目的。
What is the focus of your residency?
你在目前的实习点主要学习/做什么？
In terms of research track, I learned about the Sensory Adapted Dental Environments to Enhance Oral Care for Children (SADE) project, gained knowledge related to multisensory environment (MSE) and development coordination disorder (DCD), and followed the team to carry out the research project of Little Developmental Coordination Disorder Questionnaire (LDCDQ). For the clinical track, I focus on the practice of sensory processing and sensory integration. According to the situation of different children in the clinic, I analyze whether they have sensory processing disorders or not, and then individualize and implement sensory integration intervention. Combining my personal interests, mental health and children, I always focus on the overlap between those two, both in research and clinical practice, such as children with ASD.
在研究方面，我在SADE实验室了解了相关项目，学习了MSE和DCD的相关知识，并跟随实验室团队开展了LDCDQ的研究项目。在临床方面，我专注于感觉处理和感觉统合的实践上，在诊所根据不同患儿的情况，分析他们是否存在感觉处理障碍，进而制定并实施个性化的感觉统合干预。我感兴趣的领域是精神卫生和儿童，因此无论是在研究还是临床中，我都重点关注了二者之间的重合部分，比如自闭症儿童。
How do you plan to advance OT in China?
你计划如何推进OT在中国的发展？
I plan to conduct evidence-based occupational therapy practice and carry out different research programs to promote the development of practice, forming a virtuous circle of research-practice. At the same time, I hope to enhance communication and collaboration with other medical disciplines, so as to prove the important value of occupational therapy with actions and improve the position and awareness of occupational therapy in China.
我计划在中国进行循证作业治疗实践，并且开展不同研究项目以推动实践的发展，形成科研-实践的良性循环。同时我希望能够和其他医学学科工作人员加强沟通和合作，用行动证明作业治疗的重要价值，提高作业治疗的知名度。
What are your favorite occupation(s)?
你最喜欢的作业活动是什么？
I like to work out, travel, and listen to music. In these processes, I can relax myself and find peace in my mind.
我喜欢健身、旅游和听音乐，在这过程中我能放松自己，找到心中的平静。
