8 Trojans to be honored with OTAC awards

Alumni Associations and Bodies Awards Conferences Faculty
Eight Trojans have been named recipients of annual awards presented by the Occupational Therapy Association of California, a non-profit professional society that represents the interests of the more than 15,000 occupational therapy practitioners working in California.
Associate Chair of Academic & Community Program Support and Development and Associate Clinical Professor Sarah Bream MA ’96, OTD ’09 is the recipient of the Media Award.
Associate Clinical Professor Deborah Pitts PhD ’12 is the recipient of the Award of Excellence.
Bream, along with Associate Clinical Professor Celso Delgado Jr. MA ’05, OTD ’10, Associate Clinical Professor Samia Rafeedie MA ’05, OTD ’06 and alumni Arameh Anvarizadeh BS ’05, MA ’06, OTD ’07 and Bryant Edwards MA ’05, OTD ’06 are receiving the Vision Award for their multi-year efforts on the OTAC Centennial Rose Parade Float Committee.
Alumna Janet Daimaru MA ’98 is the recipient of the Fieldwork Educator Award and alumna Aviril Sepulveda OTD ’17 is the recipient of the Award of Appreciation.
The winners will be formally recognized at the OTAC awards ceremony on Friday, Oct. 20, during the association’s annual conference in Sacramento, California. More than 80 USC alumni, faculty members and students are also slated to speak or present posters during the conference.
