Karrie Kingsley to serve in newly created administrative role.
Diversity, Access, Equity Faculty
Associate Clinical Professor Karrie Kingsley has been named the first Director of Diversity, Access, and Equity of the USC Chan Division, according to an announcement made today by Associate Dean and Chair Grace Baranek. As the Director of DAE, Kingsley will coordinate the division’s many internal DAE activities, which include formal and informal groups, educational opportunities and social events. Kingsley will also serve as liaison to the Ostrow School of Dentistry’s various DAE functions.
The administrative appointment builds upon Kingsley’s longstanding efforts toward strengthening the sense of community, representation and inclusion at USC Chan. Since Fall 2018, Kingsley has served as the nominated chair of the division’s DAE Committee, and prior to that, served as the informal leader of the group that worked for several years to develop and formalize the committee.
Thanks to Kingsley’s leadership, the DAE Committee was recently restructured to include an executive board with defined working groups to elicit more widespread participation in DAE activities and events.
