Pineda named double recipient of inaugural NBCOT awards

New award highlights the work of outstanding, certified occupational therapy practitioners.
Alumni Associations and Bodies Awards Clinical Faculty
The National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy has named Assistant Professor Bobbi Pineda a recipient of both an Innovation Award and an Impact Award, two new honors designed to highlight outstanding, certified occupational therapy practitioners across America.
According to NBCOT, its Innovation Award “recognizes OTRs or COTAs who demonstrate the delivery of an evidence-based, effective and innovative program or intervention that enhances the quality of life for a person or persons,” while its Impact Award “recognizes OTRs or COTAs who demonstrate exceptional professional commitment through dedication, hard work and outstanding OT skills to improve their clients’ life satisfaction.”
USC Chan alumnus Michael Ang MA ’09, OTD ’14 was also an Impact Award recipient.
