Official USC-PKUHSC Welcome Gathering During World Occupational Therapy Day
October 27, 2021
The theme of this year’s World Occupational Therapy Day was “Belong. Be you.” USC faculty and students officially welcomed the PKUHSC students as they gathered for a celebration of World Occupational Therapy Day.
China Initiative Community and Partners Events International
This year, World Occupational Therapy Day promotes the power of diversity and inclusion as we work together to build community and resilience. It is the perfect time for the China Initiative team to host an official welcome gathering for the first cohort of USC-PKUHSC dual-degree students, now in the USC post-professional occupational therapy doctorate (OTD) program. Other attendees include recent China Initiative OTD residents and a PhD student affiliated with this USC-PKUHSC collaboration.
The theme of “Belong. Be you.” felt so naturally fitting, especially for the PKUHSC students who traveled to an unfamiliar country for the first time. The USC Chan China Initiative team wanted to express appreciation and gratitude to these students and empower them as they continue their exciting journeys. Their commitment and dedication to the development of OT in China, as well as the overall profession, is a testament to their potential of becoming exceptional educators, researchers, and practitioners.
