Student Worker — Student Support
Up to 10 hours weekly, at $16.50 per hour.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills (i.e., ability to build connections with students, strong communication, ability to collaborate with a team)
- Provide academic support in courses such as a Practice Immersion, Quantitative, and Kinesiology courses
- Provide peer mentoring as needed — navigating the program, building a sense of belonging, practice exploration
- Provide support to students to develop studying/learning strategies
- Provide up to 10 hours of direct student support per week (in-person and via Zoom)

The purpose of the James and Patricia Plumtree Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to support graduate level occupational therapy education. It will be used to provide financial support to current graduate students (MA or OTD) at the USC Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy who value the traditional roots of occupational therapy practice and would like to promote the therapeutic use of arts and crafts to increase function and quality of life through occupational science and occupational therapy rehabilitation.
The scholarship sponsors a graduate student with a $1,000 scholarship to attend a professional conference such as the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) or World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT) to take related coursework and network with professional role models with similar interests.
